Assign a work configuration

Create a profile, assign it to a pilot group and review the result before expanding the deployment.

Steps

Create the profile
Choose the platform and only the settings needed for the task, such as Wi-Fi or passcode requirements. Availability depends on the OS and enrollment.
Review recipients
Check the target group and test on a small number of devices. A profile with the wrong work network can interrupt connectivity.
Review the outcome
Check the available assignment and device information. Saving a profile in the console is not proof that every device applied it.

Test the work network or required setting on the pilot device, then expand the assignment when the result is confirmed.

Assignment pending: Check the device’s last contact and network connection. Review its reported result after contact; saving the assignment does not confirm application.
The expected setting is missing: Verify the target group, profile settings and platform support. If Wi-Fi stops working, check the network settings on the pilot device before assigning the profile to more devices.
