Enroll your first Apple devices

Choose an enrollment path, prepare a pilot group and check that the devices appear in Turuk.

Steps

Choose the path
Use Apple Business Manager for eligible organizational devices, or the supported manual scenario. Apple Configurator and Companion apply to supported iPhone or iPad scenarios.
Prepare the assignment
Check the device owner and the intended group. Confirm that the device is assigned to the correct management service where the enrollment method requires it.
Complete enrollment
Follow the device’s enrollment flow. Do not assume that enrollment grants supervision or every management permission.

Find the device in Inventory and check its model, operating system, management status and last contact.

Device missing from Inventory: Check the device connection and finish any enrollment prompts. For methods that require an assignment, verify the device is assigned to the intended management service.
A management option is unavailable: Check the device OS, enrollment method and supervision status against the requirements for that option. Enrollment alone does not enable every permission.
